Ideal for Hiking

Hiking sticks need to be much taller than ordinary walking canes, and at 150cm (59") this Hazel Thumbstick is definitely suitable for even the tallest user. Moreover, the stick can easily be cut to suit your height even better.

The shaft is fitted with a plastic joint in the middle that can be unscrewed to disassemble the stick. This makes it convenient for travel and perfect for anyone who enjoys exploring new hiking territories abroad.

Natural Thumbstick

A thumbstick handle is one of the most classic British handles that has the naturally occurring V-shape. With the thumb resting in the middle and the fingers clasped around the stick, this handle provides additional support and balance.

Coppiced Hazel Wood

Coppicing is a traditional method for growing natural walking sticks that are not only strong and durable, but uniquely shaped and attractive as well. It involves the tree being cut at ground level, and the resultant shoots form the raw material for walking sticks. Hazel wood is highly esteemed for its unusual colouring and texture, making it ideal for producing uniquely stylish walking sticks.

Combi Ferrule

This stick features a combi ferrule, which means that there is a rubber ferrule fitted over a spiked one. This way, the staff can safely be used on both hard and soft surfaces, making it ideal for diverse hiking terrain.

Problem solved

Because this stick can be unscrewed and stored in two parts getting it in the car to wherever we are walking is simple. Previous sticks have not had the benefit of this and ended up brocken after getting caught under the car seat as the seat position was being adjusted back. As well as being more practical the stick is solidly constructed which suits my “larger frame”. All in all I have used it on a daily basis walking in the local woods and heathlands with the dog and am very pleased with the support it gives me. In my opinion an excellent buy.
