This rustic chestnut crook is not just made, it is grown! The ancient technique of coppicing involves cutting back the source trees about a metre back from the ground, stimulating the growth of new shoots which grow to an appropriate diameter for a walking stick.
This stick is made from light yet strong chestnut wood with the bark left on for a particularly rustic and traditional appearance. Fantastic for country jaunts, the Chestnut Bark Crook Handle Walking Stick can complete any outdoorsman's outfit.
This walking stick is supplied with a metal ferrule as standard. Ideal for rural environments, this style of ferrule provides superior grip when there is soft ground underfoot.
