What Materials Is the Hotties Heat Pad Made From?
This Microwaveable Hotties contains two main parts. The Hotties heat pack sits inside the cover and contains a combination of water based materials and water. The cover itself is made from ultra-soft acrylic fleece that feels just like lambswool and adds an added layer of insulation as well as luxury. This cover can also be removed and machine washed.
How Do I Use the Hottie Heat Pad?
The Hotties Heat Pad is very easy to prepare and use. Some brief instructions can be found below:
- Keep your Hottie thermal pack in its outer fabric
- Place it in your microwave, allowing the table to turn
- Set your microwave to full power and refer to the table below for timings
- Halfway through heating, flip your Hottie onto the other side
- Take out of your microwave and allow to cool for one minute

How Long Should I Heat My Hottie For?
It is best to heat your Hottie from cold, following the timing guidelines in the table below. So you won't have to re-heat your Hottie while it's still cooling down, you may want to have a spare handy so you can alternate between them.

How Does the Hottie Work?
Hotties are thermal heat packs containing plant based material and water, which warms up when microwaved. As there are no water currents within the heat pack the transfer of energy from the centre of the pack to the outside takes longer, meaning it stays warmer for longer.
Is the Hottie Safe to Use?
Hotties are very safe to use compared to conventional water bottles as they don't contain any gels or seeds, and won't explode if heated too much. However, you should always use your Hotties Replacement Pack with the Hotties cover supplied, or with a hot water bottle cover to avoid burning yourself on the pack.
Who Can Safely Use the Micro Hottie?
The Hotties Microwaveable Hot Water Bottle should be very safe for use by most people. However, if you have Diabetes or a lack of sensitivity, speak to your doctor before use.
Can I Wash My Hotties Cover?
To keep your Hotties cover clean and fresh, you can machine wash it whenever necessary. Simply place it on a cool-temperature wash (max. 40°C) with similarly coloured clothing.
