Fashionable Country Accessory

An elegant country walking stick can be the perfect fashion item to accessorise your hiking outfit. You'll love this Shepherd's Crook not only because of its reliability, but because of its appealing design and eye-catching decoration as well.

Decorative Design

The wood has been scorched to produce the deep brown colour. The rich colour beautifully contrasts with the two parallel carved spirals: one narrow and unscorched, the other wider and lightly scorched.

Crook Handle

The crook stick was traditionally used by shepherds when herding their flock, as the crook handle makes the stick easy for the shepherd to wield, and can also be used for catching sheep around the neck. Today, crook-handled walking sticks are still highly popular for hiking and particularly loved by bramble pickers.

Chestnut Wood

This long country stick is grown from coppiced chestnut wood, as chestnut is one of the trees that responds very well to this method, which is still commonly practised in Great Britain. This type of wood is known for its strength and durability, making it the ideal material for walking sticks.

Please note that due to the natural sourcing and manufacturing process the length of this walking stick may vary slightly from product to product.

A fine present

I gave one of these crooks to my next-door neighbour shepherd in France as a Christmas present. She was delighted - showed it to her village friends - and gave us in return a bottle of home-made Ratafia

Shepherds Crook

Excellent service to get the crook to me as soon as possible. Nicely packaged and the crook itself has been beautifully made and more importantly was well received by a working shepherd.
