Four-Section Folding Guide Stick for the Deafblind

The Four-Section Folding Guide Stick for the Deafblind is a white-and-red folding stick designed to benefit anybody with deafblindness. The combination of red and white on the thin guiding stick signifies to others that the individual is both deaf and blind, while allowing the user to detect any nearby obstacles.

Please note: This stick is intended to guide deafblind users through their environment, and is not designed as a supportive walking aid.

Key Information

  • Height: 150cm (59")
  • Shaft Material: Aluminium
  • Handle Material: Textured plastic
  • Ferrule: Hard plastic

Red and White Colours

The colours of the guide stick have been specifically chosen to provide the user with a straightforward way of informing others of their condition. Red sticks typically signify that the user is deaf, and white sticks are recognised as indicating blindness or visual impairment. By combining the two colours for this stick, it provides an easy and effective way of explaining that the user is deafblind.

Thin Structure

The Four-Section Folding Guide Stick features a thin and narrow design. This makes it lightweight and easier to carry around, ensuring that the user's ability to detect surroundings and inform others of their condition does not cause discomfort during use.

Folding Design

The Guide Stick for the Deafblind can be folded into four sections. This makes it easier to store when it is not required, such as when on public transport or visiting relatives. It also makes it easier to put into a handbag for when it is only needed on occasion, for example when the individual only requires it in busy or unfamiliar environments.

What Is the Maximum Height of the Stick?

The Four-Section Folding Guide Stick for the Deafblind has a maximum height of 150cm (59") when fully extended.

Wrist Strap

The top of the guide stick includes a wrist strap. This can be slipped over the wrist to prevent the stick from slipping completely away from the hand, thus reducing the risk of it straying from the user. This strap is also ideal for when both hands are intermittently required. It allows the user to release their grasp on the stick to tend to other business, all with the safe knowledge that the stick is still by their side.

Returns Information

We hope you're delighted with your order from WalkingSticks.co.uk, but we understand that sometimes there may be a reason why you'd like to return an item to us. We aim to make this returns process as simple as possible.

30 days returns policy for peace of mind

Most products on the website have a 30 days returns policy. This means that you have 30 days from the day you receive your order to inform us if you'd like to return an item that's unsuitable.

Before returning any item, please contact our team by email at helpdesk@walkingsticks.co.uk or by telephone on 020 7501 0591. We'll then provide you with a returns authorisation number and full details of how and where to return your item(s). This returns number helps us process your return as quickly as possible. Items returned without a returns number may take longer to process.

Unwanted or unsuitable item exchanges and refunds

We want you to be happy every time you shop with us, but sometimes a product might not be what you were expecting or just isn't right. You may wish to return your product for an exchange or a refund. That's no problem at all, but first we need to give you a returns authorisation number. This helps us process your return as quickly as possible. Without this number, it may be more difficult to process your return.

You can obtain your returns authorisation number and returns address from our team by calling us. Tell us whether you'd like to exchange your product for an alternative, or if you'd like a full refund. You can contact our team in the following ways:
