Hickory Crook Handle Walking Stick
The shepherd's crook is a must-have accessory for countryside ramblers and hikers. A versatile tool, it is still used in traditional sheep farming today, but also makes for a great general walking aid for rural environments.
The Hickory Crook Handle Walking Stick is an authentic crook handle stick which is handmade using traditional coppicing techniques. Made of shock-resistant hickory and coming in shorter lengths, it is best suited for use as a walking aid rather than as a working item.

This traditional Hickory Crook Handle Walking Stick is not just made, it is grown! The ancient technique of coppicing involves cutting back the source trees about a metre back from the ground, stimulating the growth of new shoots which grow to an appropriate diameter for a walking stick.
Often used for tool handles, hickory is highly shock-resistant, making this stick wonderful for coping with rocky terrain. The signature curvature of its crook handle is both attractive and practical, allowing the stick to be hooked around the arm when not in use. The Hickory Crook Handle Walking Stick is a superb companion for a variety of countryside pursuits.
This walking stick is supplied with a rubber ferrule as standard. Ideal for firmer ground, this style of ferrule absorbs shock and helps to reduce fatigue in the hand.
