This attractive chestnut wood staff is embellished with a laser engraved image of a stag's head with a magnificent set of antlers. The carving is situated on the upper half of the stick, just below the leather wrist loop.
The staff is a simple, upright handle on a long stick, fitted with a wrist strap and most often used for hiking. The user grasps it with their palm and fingers wrapped firmly around the staff.
The staff is grown from coppiced chestnut wood, as chestnut is one of the trees that responds very well to this method, which is still commonly practised in Great Britain. This type of wood is known for its strength and durability, making it the ideal material for walking sticks.
This Hiking Staff features a combi ferrule, which means that there is a rubber ferrule fitted over a spiked one. This way, the staff can safely be used on both hard and soft surfaces, making it ideal for diverse hiking terrain.
UK delivery is FREE for orders of £40 and over. For orders below this threshold, delivery will cost a flat fee of £4.95 (including VAT).
