Chestnut Hiking Staff
This traditionally styled hiking staff is naturally grown from coppiced chestnut wood, as chestnut is one of the trees that responds very well to this method, which is still commonly practised in Great Britain. Chestnut staffs are know not only for their strength and durability, but their rich brown colour and natural texture as well.
The classic staff shape includes an upright handle, mounted on a long stick, which you can easily grasp with your palm and fingers wrapped firmly around the staff. To make it even more practical to use, the Chestnut Staff is fitted with a brown leather wrist strap that makes sure you will never again have to bend over to pick up your stick.
This Hiking Staff features a combi ferrule, which means that there is a rubber ferrule fitted over a spiked one. This way, the staff can safely be used on both hard and soft surfaces, making it ideal for diverse hiking terrain.
